  • Honestly, I think he was just stating the obvious. I don't think there's any agenda other than saving Republican votes this year. Any answer to that question other than impeachment or criminal prosecution would have caused an uproar. The only way out for him was the standard non-answer, "no comment until the investigation is over." I'm suprised he answered the question the way he did (by not taking the non-answer), but it seems like Specter is an honest and straight-forward guy (the little I know about him). Hopefully that also means this won't be a glossy coated investigation.
